Assembler I

Primary Functions : Installation of various vehicle interior / exterior parts according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Installation of all nonelectrical interior / exterior components and hardware.
• Bolts, screws, clips, or otherwise fastens together parts to form subassemblies, such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, steering columns, and axle units.
• Seals joints and seams, using caulking gun.
• Fastens seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and other trim into position.
• Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Experience : One year experience in a related manufacturing environment preferred.
