Technology Teacher
St. John the Baptist, South Bend
Location : South Bend, IN
Reports to : Principal
Job Summary :
St. John the Baptist, a small Catholic school committed to academic excellence and the spiritual development of each child, seeks a passionate and qualified Technology Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to become responsible digital citizens, integrate technology across the curriculum, and support faculty in the use of educational technology.
Responsibilities :
Teach technology classes to students in grades K-8
Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in computer literacy, keyboarding, digital citizenship, and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the classroom environment
Support faculty in the integration of technology into their subject areas
Maintain and update technology equipment as needed
Promote responsible use of technology aligned with Catholic moral teachings
Collaborate with administration and staff to enhance digital learning strategies
Ensure internet safety policies are followed and understood by students
Stay current with educational technology trends and tools
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
Experience working with children in an educational setting
Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and values of Catholic education
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Proficiency with educational software and hardware
Commitment to fostering a positive, faith-filled learning environment
Work Schedule :
Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. – 3 : 30 p.m
