CONSTRUCTION BOOKKEEPER
POSITION TYPE : Full-Time, Hourly
LOCATION : Sacramento, CA
WAGE SCALE : $28.00-$31.00

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
Understand and apply lien laws relevant to project locations and subcontractor payments.
Review and maintain customer contracts, ensuring alignment with billing and compliance requirements.
Process payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare financial statements, report and assist with budgeting.
Ensure compliance with tax filing and regulations.
Collaborate with the leadership team to provide financial insights. Maintain accurate financial records in ERP system.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing.
Assist with annual budget planning and audit preparation.
Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Four years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, ideally within the construction industry.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable / receivable, and general ledger accounting.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with prevailing wages and associated reporting requirements preferred but not required.
Regular attendance is required.
Excellent customer service skills with an ability to develop strong relationships with locations and customers.
