Summary
You will serve as a Technician in the FLEET READINESS DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties
Help
- You will provide technical leadership in maintaining and communicating situational awareness of Ship System (Class and system specific) Lifecycle, Readiness and Modernization technical issues.
- You will provide technical expertise in the identification and communication of issues / concerns that impact operational readiness for the purpose of providing fleet technical feedback to the Warfare Centers and Program Sponsors.
- You will lead complex and critical technical projects by defining, planning and executing requirements; involving multiple technical disciplines and organizations (i.e. Warfare Centers, Program Office, Waterfront Commands and contractors).
- You will provide leadership in face to face interaction and coordinate technical efforts among waterfront activities (Regional Maintenance Centers I Fleet Commanders / TYPE Commanders I Ship's Force).
- You will apply technical methods, techniques, procedures to plan, organize and execute complex technical projects involved in the of lifecycle and repair of Combat / Weapon Systems requiring technical solutions.
- You will provide Combat / Weapon System technical advice and guidance to the Fleet in the area of modernization requirements, availability issues, system level testing, and plans and programs to correct recurring readiness issues.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11 / 12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning and executing technical electronics engineering investigations to troubleshoot, test, and evaluate system or equipment issues for the improvement of quality and efficiency on shipboard combat systems development engineering projects.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
