About Us :

We are a dynamic commercial construction company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. Key Responsibilities :

Manage and oversee job costing activities to ensure accurate project profitability tracking.

Administer certified payroll processes in compliance with prevailing wage and government regulations.

Calculate and process commissions accurately and timely.

Assist in month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

Collaborate with project managers and accounting teams to reconcile job costs and resolve discrepancies.

Utilize advanced Excel functions, including CONCATENATE and other formulas, to streamline reporting and data analysis.

Manage payroll processes using Dayforce payroll system.

Support Controller with audits, budget preparation, and financial forecasting.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in commercial construction accounting with a strong focus on job costing.

Experience overseeing certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance.

Proficiency in payroll systems, preferably Dayforce.

Advanced Excel skills, including formulas such as CONCATENATE, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience with construction accounting software is a plus.
