The Strategy Department Internship is a paid, 3-month learning experience for first-year graduate students passionate about shaping the future of healthcare. Designed as a pathway into a full-time role, this internship provides hands-on experience in healthcare strategy, consulting and organizational transformation at one of the world’s most respected health systems. High-performing interns are strongly considered for full-time conversion opportunities within the Mayo Clinic Strategy Department following graduation.

Interns will :

Work directly with Strategy Managers and cross-functional teams to support organizational priorities.

Apply strategic, analytical, and consulting methods to solve complex business challenges.

Contribute to initiatives spanning healthcare delivery, digital transformation, applied analytics, and operational improvement.

Help design frameworks, tools, and models that advance Mayo Clinic’s long-term strategic goals.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of strategic disciplines, develop critical thinking and communication skills, and contribute meaningfully to high-impact projects that shape the future of healthcare.

During the selection process, you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question - Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording.
