Job Description
Assistant Principal / Principal & Curriculum Coordinator - pre-K-8
A private pre-K-12 classical school and Chesterton Network High School in the Catholic tradition is seeking a talented and dynamic pre-K-8 Assistant Headmaster and Curriculum Coordinator.
A bachelor's or master's degree is required. Three to five years of experience is preferred, as well as a passion for Catholic classical education.
The successful candidate will have experience in teaching, developing, and implementing a classical curriculum. Coaching and mentoring teachers in this content-rich curriculum and its various pedagogies are vital aspects of the position. Part-time teaching duties may apply. The Assistant Headmaster will also assist the Headmaster in a variety of duties and responsibilities. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and be willing to make an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and a Profession of Faith. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
In addition to administrative duties, staff at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy-CNS participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Staff are required to attend Mass with the entire student body, and they assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities.
