Sr. Data Scientist AI / ML & LLM Specialist

CACI is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Scientist specializing in AI / ML and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and deploying advanced AI / ML models, with a particular focus on LLMs, in enterprise or government environments. This role requires a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy AI / ML models, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, LLaMA, or Claude
• Design and implement NLP and generative AI solutions for complex enterprise or government projects
• Build end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deployment
• Integrate AI / ML models into secure or cloud-hosted environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Work with vector databases and develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• Ensure AI / ML solutions comply with RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI / ML opportunities
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI / ML and LLM technologies
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists
• Create comprehensive documentation for AI / ML models and processes

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is : $90,300 - 189,600 USD
