Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Database Administrator Level 2 / 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Palmdale, CA. You will implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases. You will conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and / or improvements. Maintain security and integrity controls. Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures and / or triggers.

Basic Qualifications :

• Level 2 : High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years experience; or Bachelors and 2 years experience; or Masters and 0 years experience.
• Level 3 : High school diploma or equivalent and 9 years experience; or Bachelors and 5 years experience; or Masters and 3 years experience; or PhD and 1 year experience.
• Experience with Oracle Database.
• Experience working with PL / SQL.
• Experience with MS Access-based applications and VBA.
• Willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications :

Primary Level Salary Range : $81,300.00 - $121,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range : $100,300.00 - $150,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
