Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities.

We strive to recognize Christ in each individual entrusted to our care.

We are seeking to fill the position of Dietary Aide - Full-Time.

  • $15 per hour.
  • Day and Evenings shifts available.

What will you do as a Dietary Aide?

  • Prepare dining rooms for mealtimes.
  • Interact with the Residents, engaging and providing quality customer service.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to specified dietary guidelines, texture requirements, and individual preferences as indicated on the tray ticket.
  • Accurately portion food items while maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Clean the dining area after meals, restocking supplies as needed.

    • This is a brief overview of job responsibilities and not intended to be all inclusive.

    Dietary Aide Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to perform various physical tasks related to serving : Standing, walking, bending stooping, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Mental Acuity : Ability to read, interpret documents, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

    • Dietary Aide Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 Year of Dietary experience preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification or the ability to complete within 30 days.
  • Customer Service.

    • Dietary Aide Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Must complete and pass Monthly training.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours with rotating shifts that may include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and active listening skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to solve problems and address residents’ needs with empathy and a positive attitude.

    • Dietary Aide Motivations :
