Participates in multidisciplinary assessments; selects and administers assessment instruments and procedures appropriately; interprets and reports test results; completes assessment reports and sends to appropriate agency. Functions as coordinator for the assessment team. Acts as service coordinator for the family by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family on caseload, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines are followed. Provides families with information on current trends and practices related to the needs of their child. Excellent in fostering long-term relationships with client, family members and school support staff. Provide quality care and cultivate the ability to lead in life skills education, teach in both the home and school settings, and utilize safe crisis management. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in the child's natural environment with the child and caregiver. Assist families in helping children reach developmental milestone. Perform home / daycare visits as outlined in treatment plans . Ensure that services outlined in the child's IFSP / FSP are rendered in accordance with current plan. Manages a caseload of approximately 22 families. Provides individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in the areas of cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development. Provides supportive professional assistance to families. Facilitates parent-child interactions to encourage child's development; encourages parents to participate in as normal a lifestyle as possible by developing family strengths and resources; assists families to act as advocates for their child. Completes reports, routine documentation, and management procedures as required by agency policies. Provides consultation, training, and screening clinics for outside agencies and interagency groups. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field, plus 1 year of documented experience reflected on your resume working with children birth to six years old. Prior early interventionist experience is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in ANY field and 5 years of documented experience with infants and toddlers OR children age birth to 3 years with disability Extensive skills working with children ages 0-3 years with disability. The ideal candidate should possess strong internal motivation, integrity, discipline, creative, time management and organization skills. The ideal candidate should be able to write efficiently, communicate effectively, plan and a self-starter Demonstrated knowledge of child development, planning, and implementation of intervention programs for children and families. Demonstrated ability to enhance parental competence while encouraging families to rely appropriately on informal and formal outside support systems. Early Interventionists will provide intensive developmental instruction and Service Coordination for parents, caregivers and their children with developmental delay. This is the idea job for someone looking for a flexible schedule and loves working with children and families.

- An Early Interventionist serves two roles- Special Instructor and Service Coordinator.
- As Special Instructors, we serve as a teacher. We use activity-based learning to teach parents how to use strategies / techniques to help their children meet developmental goals.
- The ideal candidate will enjoy researching activities that address a child's developmental skills- Communication, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Self Help, etc. Through Service Coordination, we connect parents with services and resources that meet their needs and areas of concern.
