Geosyntec is seeking a mid-career Environmental Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas . We are searching for motivated professionals to support and lead projects involved in soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, due diligence, environmental permitting, compliance, and other exciting environmental issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include :
Providing technical and project management for site investigation and remediation projects, such as those utilizing the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP).
- Preparing engineering designs and permit application documents associated with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) industrial and hazardous waste management regulations.
- Managing and overseeing preparation of technical reports such as Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs); Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); Spill, Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans; and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
- Prepare and manage environmental investigation work plans and provide technical support on a variety of environmental projects for oil & gas, petrochemical, waste, and agrichemical clients.
- Manage and perform surface and subsurface investigations including drilling, geologic / geotechnical logging, and environmental media sampling (groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, air / vapor, and waste).
- Review and research regulatory topics, along with determining regulatory applicability to processes and problems.
- Participate in business development activities and begin to establish a consulting practice. Mentor junior staff and interact with senior Geosyntec staff to meet task, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Support client opportunities and proposal preparation, and gain increasing responsibility with project tasks through training provided by Geosyntec and by working with senior staff and management.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
