Equipment Buyer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Equipment Buyer to join our Procurement team. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment to support installation projects. The Equipment Buyer will collaborate closely with suppliers to align with project schedules and requirements. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver equipment on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and industry standards.

Essential Functions :

  • Lead the procurement process for commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment, including supplier selection, and purchase order execution.
  • Negotiate one time order pricing.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships, addressing performance issues related to quality, lead times, or service.
  • Oversee logistics and delivery schedules to ensure seamless warehouse transfers and on-time site installations.
  • Manage inventory to achieve targeted fill rates and service levels, making data-driven adjustments based on daily and weekly reports.
  • Maintain accurate product data by monitoring and reconciling purchase orders, inventory records, and supplier changes, including price updates, pack variations, and backorders.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support operational accuracy and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and scalability within the equipment team.
  • Approves Account Payable variance processes for sourced items as needed.

    • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with ERP and purchasing systems, inventory management tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Ability to complete moderately complex administrative paperwork.
