In this role, you will take full ownership of the controls software design and integration for a wide range of custom automation projects, from small-scale R&D prototypes to complex, high-throughput production systems. You will work closely with clients to define project specifications and collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver fully integrated, high-performance automation solutions. How You Will Make a Difference :

• Design, develop, test, and commission custom automation control systems, including software for machine logic, motion control, robotics, data acquisition, and vision systems
• Program and integrate various off-the-shelf automation components such as industrial robots, smart sensors, servo systems, and machine vision cameras
• Translate customer requirements into functional control strategies and technical specifications
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting performance and safety standards
• Support the assembly, debug, and commissioning of equipment in-house and at customer facilities
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration
• Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors to specify, source, and integrate components
• Design and implement user-friendly HMI interfaces and support integration with MES / ERP systems
• Communicate directly with customers to refine requirements, demonstrate progress, and provide training
• Travel to customer sites (~5%) for system installation, commissioning, and service support
