Job Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Technical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the design and production teams to ensure the accurate translation of concepts into high-quality garments with the optimal fit.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate closely with the Design and Production teams to ensure accurate execution of all designs.

Manage all technical requirements of the garment from product development to production.

Organize time to spec incoming samples and be prepared for weekly fittings.

Fit on live model, record fit notes, and translate corrections into clear, efficient fit comments.

Convey fit and construction revisions to domestic and overseas vendors, providing illustrated sketches for clear and easy interpretation of corrections.

Execute production specs with grading.

Relay all critical information impacting in-house dates to all relevant teams.

Assemble tech packs with detailed sketches, illustrations, and construction details using a PLM software system.

Ensure garments meet high-quality standards and align with brand aesthetics.

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of product engineering, development, and construction for intricate styles.

Possess extensive knowledge of fabric technology and characteristics for knits, wovens, and bias cuts.

Identify and proactively engage with vendors / factories when issues arise, providing recommendations for viable solutions.

Requirements :

5+ years' experience in women's wear.

B.A. / B.S. in a field related to technical design.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Outlook, and CAD.

Experience with WFX and PLM systems is a plus.

Ability to prioritize workload daily and make quick decisions to meet strict deadlines.

Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on communication and project execution.

Well-organized with a strong sense of urgency.

Works well with all teams professionally and with integrity.

This position is based in Chatsworth, Los Angeles . You must be located in Los Angeles or willing to relocate to Chatsworth, Los Angeles.
