As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for traveling across the U.S. to install, inspect, and repair electrical systems at power plants. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires about 75% travel, offering the opportunity to work in diverse locations and tackle new challenges. You will supervise and perform electrical work, collaborating closely with customers and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution. Reporting directly to the Manager, this position is based in Richland, MS.

What We're Looking For

Experience : Prior supervisory experience or experience coordinating construction jobs is preferred. Ability to attain an ASTM and ANSI / AWS 6-G MIG aluminum welding certification, U.S. passport, and forklift / man lift operator training certification. Valid driver's license with a good driving record is mandatory.

Skills : Ability to read tape measurements, blueprints, and electrical schematics. Hands-on skills, such as MIG welding or equipment operation, are a plus but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Customer Focus : 75% travel is required. Experience with extensive travel is highly preferred. We're looking for a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

Project Preparation : Coordinate the tools, materials, and equipment for each project.

On-Site Work : Inspect, install, and repair electrical systems at power plants, oversee and work alongside subcontractors to complete the job.

Lead and Coordinate : Work closely with customers and subcontractors on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency in every task.

Safety First : Ensure safety standards are adhered to, including completing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before starting any work.

Testing & Troubleshooting : Conduct electrical tests and troubleshooting in accordance with company procedures.

Daily Reporting : Keep the project manager informed with detailed daily reports on project status, challenges, and potential changes in scope.

Budget Management : Ensure that project expenses are kept within budget, and submit all necessary paperwork on time.

Customer-Facing Role : You'll be the point of contact on-site, ensuring customers are informed and satisfied with the progress of their projects.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

You'll spend most of your time at remote power plants, often outdoors and working in various weather conditions. This is a physically active role, requiring you to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. You'll also need to be comfortable working at heights and using hand tools. Good vision is required for reading blueprints, inspecting work, and operating machinery.
