Description

Objective

This position is responsible for recording accounting transactions, performing account reconciliations, and working closely with other team members to help develop and maintain accounting processes. This position works closely with the Controller, Assistant Controller, and other accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in month- and year-end closing responsibilities including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports, and supporting schedules
• Review and reconcile bank, cash, and other transactions throughout the month and at month-end
• Act as a resource for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as it relates to accounting treatment and transactions
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and participate in process improvement and internal control projects
• Support the fulfillment of audit requests as needed
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger, cost center, and department structure
• Compile and review transactional data to support reports and documentation of financial transactions and forecasts

Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10 - 25 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
