Description Conduct assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, utilizing both standardized tests and keen observational skills. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to forge cohesive care approaches. Provide education for patients and their families, ensuring support and progress outside of clinical appointments. Manage occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, promoting consistency throughout patients' treatment journeys. Adhere to precise and prompt documentation practices that meet state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing to remain at the forefront of the field. Education Holding a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet achieved ASHA certification. Certifications Possession of valid state licensure as a Speech Pathologist . Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needs to be secured within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based approaches for clients of all ages, showing a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster clear communication with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
