Summary :

An Outside Sales Representative for material handling equipment will play a crucial role in driving

sales and expanding market share within the assigned territory. Building and maintaining a strong

territory with an intense focus on customer service will be vital. This role will consist of

finding solutions for new and existing customers by identifying their needs through diverse sales

call methods.

Essential Duties :

  • Demonstrate a professional and effective method for selling material handling equipment to

end-user customers within our servicing territory.

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining market share within assigned territory.
  • Display knowledge and understanding of key markets such as industrial warehousing, logistics,

    • construction, and other similar industries.

  • Develop and deliver technically competent, customer-facing product walk-around, product

    • demonstrations, and sales presentations that align with customer goals, challenges, and growth

    objectives.

  • Acquire and maintain expertise in industry trends and best practices while creating tailored

    • customer solutions.

  • Exhibit a variety of competent selling techniques such as direct sales, cold calling,

    • E-commerce, and other similar methods.

  • Capable of selling maintenance agreements on a variety of material handling equipment.
  • Prospecting new business and secure new customer accounts through all sales avenues.
  • Ability to manage sales leads and follows through with customer follow ups.
  • Analyze competitor product offerings, applications, and pricing.
  • Consistently keep track of sales calls and leads while routinely utilizing our CRM tool.
  • Responsible for generating order activity to support sales forecasts through prospecting, lead
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the company objectives.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree and / or 3-5 years of experience in related sales field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • 5-10 years working in the Material Handling Equipment industry
  • Strong mathematical skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong work with and commitment to extra hours when needed, including travel
  • Maintain a Valid Driver's License and ability to pass our insurance requirements

    • Work Environment :

    This position requires the use of office equipment and to sit / drive in a vehicle for extended

    periods. In addition, the position requires extensive local state travel. Potentially as much as

    100% office time in the beginning and / or 100% travel time in the beginning. Ultimately equaling out

    at 10% Office, 90% Outside Sales once training is completed.
