Job Summary
A growing pharmaceutical organization is seeking a motivated Associate Scientist I or II to join its R&D team. This hands-on role involves supporting laboratory operations, performing analytical testing, and assisting in the development and manufacturing of inhalation drug products.
Key Responsibilities
Perform lab testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to assess quality, identity, strength, and purity.
Operate lab instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, UV-Vis, and FTIR; process and analyze resulting data.
Support formulation and production of inhaled pharmaceutical products.
Prepare reagents and solutions; document results in lab notebooks and reports.
Execute equipment calibrations, qualifications, and approved method transfers.
Comply with all cGMP, FDA, EH&S, and internal SOPs.
Collaborate with project teams to meet timelines and deliverables.
Participate in training and mentoring of junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field with 2–3 years of pharmaceutical R&D experience
OR —
Master’s degree (MSc) with 1–2 years of experience
Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, UPLC, FTIR)
Understanding of FDA regulations and GMP compliance
Strong documentation and communication skills
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
Experience working with inhalation products
Familiarity with method development, sample prep, or blend uniformity testing
Experience in training or mentoring lab staff
