Requires standing for long periods of time, walking on uneven ground, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, operating small machinery and tools with hands. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Description :
The Non-Ferrous Laborer is responsible for handling, sorting, and processing non-ferrous metals (e.g., copper, aluminum, brass). This position ensures materials are properly categorized and prepared for resale or further processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and sort non-ferrous metals using visual inspection and handheld tools.
- Operate balers, shears, and other machinery to process materials.
- Processing and dismantling end-of-life vehicles including draining and removal of parts.
- Identify and remove any non-recyclable or hazardous material.
- Maintain consistent pace and accuracy.
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
