General Accountant / Financial Analyst
Our client is a mission-driven organization located in downtown Detroit. They are committed to making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve. Their team is passionate, collaborative, and dedicated to excellence in everything they do. They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented General Accountant / Financial Analyst to join their finance team and help drive financial clarity and operational efficiency. This position will start as a contract-to-hire role, on-site in downtown Detroit 5-days-a-week.
The General Accountant / Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the organizations financial operations, reporting, and analysis. This individual will be responsible for special projects for the CFO including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and documenting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is energetic, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Update policies and procedures for CFO department.
- As directed by the CFO analyze financial data and trends to support budgeting and forecasting activities and other special projects.
- Support compliance and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
- Utilize ERP systems for financial and compliance reporting, including data management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and financial models as needed.
