Role Overview

LegalZoom's Brand & Creative team is seeking a strategic Group Manager, Content Marketing Lead to own, develop, and scale our content strategy across digital surfaces. In this role, you'll lead a team of content writers, editors, and strategists to create high-quality, brand-aligned content that drives awareness, authority, builds trust, and delivers on business and marketing objectives. This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, education, and content operationsand is ideal for a seasoned content marketer who is equal parts strategic thinker, creative storyteller, and operational leader.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of writers and content marketing managers to produce content that's accessible, credible, accurate, engaging, on-brand, and strategically aligned.
• Lead the content strategy across webpages, editorial, and page-level messaging hierarchies.
• Drive the editorial roadmap in collaboration with SEO, PR, partnerships, and social media to develop content strategies based on audience needs, thought leadership, keyword data, and marketing trends.
• Collaborate with designers, marketing copywriters, content designers, video editors, and creative ops to develop multiformat content experiences.
• Evolve our content development systems, including the editorial calendar, intake process, feedback workflow, and scalable production models.
• Establish and maintain content quality standards, voice and tone guidelines, and brand-aligned editorial governance.
• Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich culture for both the content team and broader Brand & Creative team.
• Coach ICs on navigating the broader org, presenting work, and developing executive presence.

Qualifications

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is $128,300 to $171,000. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to : geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and / or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and / or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
