The Team :   The American Girl Retail team is integral in providing lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores provide shopping destinations like no other. This requires Innovation, Collaboration, and Execution from all who are a part of this division. Our in-store experiences range depending on location from Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), hosting Parties / Celebrations to name a few. The Opportunity :   The Sr. Salon Stylist is located at the AG Retail Chicago location and reports directly to the Sales Manager. This position is responsible for delivering Girl Hair Salon services, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be :

• Provide girl and doll salon services to customers that ensure a high-level experience at American Girl.
• Perform a broad range of styles and must be able to work with a variety of hair lengths, types, and textures. Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and services knowledge necessary to effectively provide services to meet the needs of our guests.
• Answer guest questions, providing general customer assistance, styling Girl's hair according to company standards, resolving customer issues, conducting inventory of salon supplies, stocking area, cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining workspace, and communicating needs to management.
• Training and certification will be provided to perform ear piercing services. Trained associates will follow ear piercing procedure checklist, complete waivers, and review After Care procedures with guests.
• Responsible for supporting day to day activity in our reservations system, inventory, manage guest traffic / appointments, troubleshoot technical or guest related issues, and manage day to day operations of the business.

The base hourly rate for this position is between $19 and $ 22.80.
