Provides verbal and written performance evaluations for assigned interdisciplinary team members. Promotes the utilization of resources for the benefit of team members, patients, and families consistent with agency policy and procedure. Identifies need for staff education and assists in the development of in-service programs for interdisciplinary teams. Assists in planning, delivery, and evaluation of volunteers, students, bereavement, and educational / training programs. Manages the following : Preparation of the agency for State licensure. Preparation of the agency for Medicare certification. Serves as liaison among the governing board and professional advisory board as needed. Monitors the fiscal condition of the agency. Investigates and resolves all complaints. Interprets policies and procedures. Participates in staff selection and oversees the orientation of new personnel. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Hospice Administrator, Home Health
Dignity Hospice, a division of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is looking for a Hospice Administrator.

PURPOSE / BELIEF STATEMENT
The Hospice Administrator is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and supervision of all aspects of the delivery of patient / family services consistent with Hospice. The role carries responsibility for the supervision of direct patient care services and for the interdisciplinary team component of the Hospice program.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
- Proven track record as a previous Hospice Administrator.
- Preferred experience of three years in a community health service or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of terminal care with specific expertise in crisis intervention, family counseling, pain and symptom control, and bedside nursing.
- Demonstrated skill in administrative performance to include excellent verbal / written communication skills, knowledge of documentation requirements, and service coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive and sensitive approach to staff and patient / family needs.
