Job Description

Job Purpose :

Inspection of parts to design tolerances to insure the quality of the product prior to use in manufacturing.

Responsibilities : \n

  • Inspect new parts received from internal and external suppliers in a timely fashion with little supervision.

\n

  • Identify & report defects to Quality Supervisor.

    • \n

  • Partner daily with Quality Supervisor for priorities and inspection needs.

    • \n

  • Report non-conforming material to QC Supervisor

    • \n

  • Verify height failures with depth gage

    • \n

  • Run first off inspection for molding

    • \n \n

    Identified training mandatory for the role to be completed competently

    \n

  • Reading of engineering drawings

    • \n

  • Label requirements

    • \n

  • Logging information into Epicor

    • \n \n

    Key Internal & External Stakeholders & Relationships

  • Quality Supervisor and Manager

  • Manufacturing

    Planning and Decision Making :

    Qualifications

    Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

    \n

  • Time management skills.

    • \n

  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, completing jobs and must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

    • \n

  • Attention to details and ability to focus on assignment.

    • \n

  • Knowledge of reading engineering technical drawings.

    • \n

  • Effective English communication skills, including writing.

    • \n

  • Good problem solving and Quality background strongly preferred.

    • \n

  • Knowledge of inspection tools (i.e. scopes, calipers, micrometers, etc) along with ability to focus for an extended amount of time while using microscope.

    • \n

  • Have good computer skills and able to use Microsoft office products.

    • \n

  • Must be able to work weekends when needed.

    • \n \n
