The Minnesota Department of Health is recruiting a passionate and performance driven leader for the Child and Family Health Division, in the Women's Health Unit of the Maternal and Child Health Section. This position will provide leadership and administrative management to the maternal and child health programs relating to women's and maternal health. Key programs and initiatives supported by this position and within the unit are reproductive health, preconception, pregnancy, and birth and the current health disparities and inequities that impact them.
Key Position Responsibilities :
- Providing leadership to the unit as they work towards eliminating health disparities within communities impacting women and maternal health.
- Building statewide programs, capacity, data and collection, analysis, and evaluation regarding women's health, family planning, and overall coordination of women's health issues.
- Assisting in the management of grant budgets, including oversight of state and federal grants.
This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Employees living within 50 miles of the office must work in-office at least 50% of the time each month. Employees outside that radius may telework more with division director approval.
Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications must clearly be demonstrated on the applicant's resume / application to be considered for this position.
Four (4) years of experience leading a public health or social services program relating to maternal and child health. Experience to include the following :
