A minimum of 3 years' direct sales experience in healthcare services (Hospice, Home Health, DME, Palliative Care, or Post-Acute preferred). At least 1 year of leadership experience in healthcare sales is required. Proven ability to lead teams, exceed sales targets, and establish lasting referral partnerships. Experience with CRM systems, referral tracking software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) is a plus. A history of achieving growth goals in a metrics-driven environment. Valid driver's license and auto insurance (travel within the assigned territory is required). Are you an accomplished healthcare sales leader ready to make an impact? We are looking for a seasoned Director of Business Development to shape our sales strategy and guide a talented team of business development professionals in the hospice sector.
This pivotal role operates under the supervision of the Area Vice President of Business Development and focuses on enhancing census growth, optimizing sales efficiency, and uncovering new business prospects that align with our organizational objectives.
What You'll Do :
- Inspire and develop a team of business development representatives by managing hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Create and execute targeted sales strategies aimed at surpassing census growth and admission goals.
- Establish and nurture referral sources through community involvement, physician engagement, facility partnerships, and outreach initiatives.
- Assess sales data, market trends, and referral dynamics to refine strategies and improve performance.
- Provide hands-on coaching in the field, conduct joint sales calls, and ensure continuous professional development for your team.
- Maintain strong ties with existing referral partners while actively seeking new market opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal clinical, operational, and executive teams to guarantee smooth onboarding of new patients.
- Represent the organization at community events, industry conferences, and meetings to bolster brand visibility and referral networks.
- Ensure compliance with sales methodologies, performance metrics, and regulatory standards.
- Support and implement growth objectives that are consistent with company strategies.
