Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Database Analyst with a strong background in healthcare data particularly Medicaid to support data analysis reporting and visualization efforts for key state and federal programs. This role is 100% onsite in Tallahassee Florida and requires a U.S. Citizen who meets federal security eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze Medicaid claims eligibility provider and encounter data to identify trends anomalies and improvement opportunities.

Support program evaluation policy analysis and operational decision-making through actionable data insights.

Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau; present findings clearly to stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal teams external partners and leadership to define data needs and deliver effective solutions.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state data governance standards ; document methodologies and assumptions for transparency.

Support audits special projects and federal reporting initiatives as needed.

Develop and validate data extracts for CMS and state reporting including performance metrics.

Create and maintain technical documentation for recurring reports data pipelines and reporting logic.

Apply machine learning or advanced analytics to enhance forecasting and risk stratification models.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science or a related field.

5 years of experience in data analysis preferably in healthcare or Medicaid environments.

Strong proficiency in SQL / SAS with working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.

3 years of experience with Power BI Tableau or similar data visualization tools.

Strong understanding of healthcare data and claims-based datasets .

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with state or federal healthcare programs .

Knowledge of Medicaid managed care LTSS or waiver programs .

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure AWS).

Experience in machine learning or advanced statistical modeling .

Additional Information

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have lived in the U.S. for the past 5 years .

Relocation and travel expenses are not covered.
