At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1 : 1 in-home tutoring in Canyon Lake, CA ! If you're committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success, we want to hear from you!

About the Role : As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Canyon Lake, CA

Details :

  • In-Person Tutoring in Canyon Lake, CA
  • Schedule : 16 hours, 2 days a week, 2 hour sessions
  • Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate :

  • Experience working with high school students with Autism or other learning differences.
  • Skilled in executive functioning support, reading comprehension, writing, and high school–level math (including Geometry).
  • Patient, structured, and creative, able to adapt instruction to the student’s learning style.
  • Engaging, motivating, and capable of incorporating the student’s interests into lessons.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with experience creating individualized learning plans.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide structured instruction in writing, including language conventions, organization, and traits.
  • Strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, and overall literacy skills.
  • Support math skills, including Geometry concepts, problem-solving, and math word problems.
  • Teach executive functioning strategies, including organization, task initiation, and time management.
  • Use visual, auditory, and hands-on learning strategies to engage the student effectively.
  • Implement pacing, step-by-step instruction, and gentle redirection to manage frustration or overstimulation.
  • Integrate the student’s interests, such as music, video games, and drawing, to motivate learning.
  • Develop lesson plans tailored to the student’s needs, ensuring progress toward achieving passing grades in core subjects.
