Description :

The HR Coordinator is a central partner in keeping HR operations running smoothly—from HR compliance audits and Paylocity system support to delivering an exceptional hiring and onboarding experience. As the go-to resource for HR questions, this role uses strong communication and relationship-building skills to provide clear answers, support employees, and represent the HR team with professionalism and positivity.

Key Responsibilities :

HRIS & Data Management (Paylocity) :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Paylocity, ensuring data integrity across all HR modules. Run and analyze reports for compliance, benefits, and management needs.
  • Conduct routine internal HR audits of employee files and HRIS data regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support HR system updates, troubleshooting, and new feature implementation to continue supporting company policies and provide a smooth user experience for employees.

Audits & Compliance :

  • Manage the workers’ compensation and employee injury processes so employees receive proper support and benefits.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for external audits (e.g., EEO, DOL, workers’ compensation, etc.) to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR compliance requirements and assist with policy updates to keep aligned with evolving regulations.
  • Recruitment, Interview, & Onboarding Coordination :

  • Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screenings, interview scheduling, pre-employment screenings, and communication with applicants to ensure timely and professional candidate experience.
  • Manage the onboarding process, including new hire orientations ensuring smooth transition into the organization.
  • Support pre-boarding activities such as IT New Hire Ticket submissions.
  • General HR Support :

  • Plan and execute company events such as yearly service awards.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team.
  • Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
  • Requirements :

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Coordinator or HR Assistant role.
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity or a similar HRIS required.
  • Experience supporting HR audits or compliance reporting.
  • Familiarity with onboarding workflows and recruiting systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Manages Complexity : Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Tech Savy : Scans the environment for new technical skills, knowledge, or capabilities that can benefit business or personal performance
  • Resourcefulness : Marshals resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done
  • Interpersonal Savy : Relates openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to sit / stand 100% of the day
  • Ability to use hands / fingers – all day for typing, writing and assembling materials
  • Ability to work in outdoor setting – facilitating sessions outdoors or in greenhouse settings is minimal. Generally in an office setting.
