Position Summary
The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ventilation units
Diagnose system malfunctions and recommend repairs or replacements
Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC equipment
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures
Communicate effectively with customers regarding services performed and future recommendations
Maintain accurate service records and complete job reports
Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience preferred
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
