Genesis10 is currently seeking a Splunk Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC, Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12 month contract position. Responsibilities : Manage, expand, upgrade, automate, and improve performance and sustainability for our huge Splunk environment as a hands-on engineer / architect Drive implementation using Lean Agile methodology Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation and some administration, for the Splunk deployments we manage across the enterprise Interact with technology and business groups, to gather requirements and deliver the solution Develop and maintain automation tools for CI / CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes Develop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes Requirements : 5 years expert-level Splunk Architect experience Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology Hands-on shell scripting and Linux / Windows system administration experience Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python and / or Windows scripts Thorough knowledge of regular expressions Strong debugging and analytical skills Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins and others to deliver solutions together Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions Experience resolving and influencing the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities Strong, proactive leadership capabilities – inspiring fellowship Ability to stimulate and participate in creative thinking for out-of-the-box solutions Ability to effectively communicate, interact with and influence Works effectively within a fast-paced, cohesive team Desired skills : BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic and / or AutoSys Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment Experience with other monitoring tools Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect Pay Range : $63.68-$71.68 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
