Position Summary Information Job Description Summary ADJUNCT – INSTRUMENTATION :
The successful applicant will be expected to provide quality instruction in all phases of Instrumentation Technology and related areas including but not limited to safety instrumented systems, automation programming and development, repair, inspection and calibration of Industrial instrumentation equipment and technologies.
The Adjunct Instructor teaches courses that could include online courses and or dual-credit / early college classes in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in Instrumentation Technology or related field with three (3) years of work experience in Instrumentation / Automation or a related field.
Certificate in Instrumentation and 10+ years of documented related work experience in the field. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective Instructor and the aptitudes to assist both new and returning students achieve their educational goals and objectives.
Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus / outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met.
Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
Ability to utilize instructional technologies including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. Preferred Qualifications Experience in teaching.

Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the course syllabus guidelines and facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor of the content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods and schedule of work. Demonstrate knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
Develop and use of a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
Review, evaluate, recommend, and effectively use student learning materials. Job Duty Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course outcomes. Job Duty Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Job Duty Hold scheduled, posted virtual or physical office hours of at least (1) hour daily and be available for and encourage conferences with students so there is a clearer understanding of the students work and the possibility of improvement.
