JOB SUMMARY
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization by ensuring accuracy and optimizing inventory processes to meet organizational goals and ensure consistency across the broader organization. This role involves maintaining proper inventory documentation, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to improve inventory efficiency and minimize stock discrepancies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, and locations, using inventory management systems or software.
Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstocks.
Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for optimizing inventory levels, reducing carrying costs, and improving inventory turnover.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies, such as ABC analysis, to prioritize inventory control efforts and maximize operational efficiency.
Identify inefficiencies or gaps in inventory management processes and procedures and recommend improvements or solutions to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations, to implement process improvements and best practices.
Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, adjustments, and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Generate regular inventory reports and KPIs to track performance metrics, monitor inventory health, and support decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in inventory-related tasks, documentation, and recordkeeping.
Proficiency in inventory management software or systems (e.g., ERP systems, WMS) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Knowledge of inventory control techniques, cycle counting methods, and inventory valuation methods.
Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics processes, and supply chain management principles.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Understanding of inventory management principles, including inventory control techniques, ABC analysis, and EOQ models.
Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems to track inventory movements, reconcile discrepancies, and generate reports.
Knowledge of inventory valuation methods, such as FIFO, LIFO, and average cost.
Ability to interpret and analyze inventory data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Strong problem-solving skills to investigate inventory discrepancies, resolve issues, and implement preventive measures.
Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing business needs and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in inventory management.

TAVEL REQUIEREMENTS :
This position requires approximately 50% travel. Travel is primarily within the United States, with occasional travel to Canada as business needs arise.
COMPENSATION
The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000- $65,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more than your base salary.
