AES Clean Energy is a rapidly growing renewable energy company headquartered in Salt Lake City, with additional offices throughout the world. The AES Clean Energy Field Services Operations team is looking for a seasoned Solar Technician II with troubleshooting experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have the ability to take direct instruction from Senior Technicians, and demonstrate the ability to lead, train and teach other Tech I's, and Apprentices. Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform for equipment including but not limited to installed Inverters (SMA), Trackers (NEXTracker & ATI), Combiner Boxes, PV Modules, DC Collection equipment and systems, AC Collection and Distribution equipment and systems,
• Performs routine maintenance work (electrical troubleshooting and repair, instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting, basic Inverter troubleshooting), up to their capabilities, as assigned and / or directed by supervisor and work orders from the maintenance management system.
• Prepares and implements switching and clearance orders.
• Operates electrical and mechanical power plant systems.
• Participates in training as required.
• Performs other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility.
• Assists with site vegetation mitigation plans including running tractors, riding mowers, and other Vegetation maintenance equipment.
• Writes Plant Orders, Plant Procedures, Operating Instructions and otherdocuments as assigned by supervision.
• Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
• Performs work independently and / or in work crews.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $32,50 and $39,10 / Hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
