Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated Sleep Lab Technologist to provide exceptional pulmonary care for patients of all ages, including critically ill, chronically ill, pediatric, and neonatal patients. You will work under the direction of a physician, performing patient assessments and developing respiratory care plans with minimal supervision. Your role will involve executing various technical and diagnostic procedures across the hospital.

Responsibilities :

• Adhere to OneCHRISTUS Competencies, including : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Your tasks will include, but are not limited to :
• Emergency response (Code Blue and White) participation;
• Management of airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning;
• Delivery of aerosolized medications;
• Ventilator setup, operation, and management;
• Providing oral hygiene;
• Placement and maintenance of airway retaining devices;
• Managing Airway Support Devices, such as BiPAP and CPAP;
• Administering oxygen delivery and monitoring therapeutic outcomes;
• Chest film analysis;
• Blood gas collection and analysis;
• EKG interpretation;
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation;
• Cleaning and stocking equipment and supplies as needed;
• Participating in CAP and JC surveys.
• Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) may have the opportunity to serve as Shift Leaders or Team Leaders.
• Advanced practice responsibilities may include :
• Therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2;
• Pulmonary Function Testing;
• Assistance with bronchoscopy;
• Hemodynamic Monitoring;
• Waveform analysis;
• Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (Desaturation Studies);
• Polysomnography;
• Transporting patients as needed.
