Lighting Project Manager (Office & Field)

Location : Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Pay : $70,000 to $80,000

We’re seeking a Lighting Project Manager to oversee multiple lighting installation projects across Los Angeles, primarily within LAUSD facilities. This position acts as a liaison between subcontractors in the field and the internal project team, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with specifications and electrical codes.

This is a hybrid role—based in the office but frequently visiting job sites to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Some evening work may be required.

Key Responsibilities :

Serve as the main point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, and the internal administrative team.

Manage and track project schedules, budgets, materials, and progress using Excel and project management tools.

Conduct site walks to verify quality, safety, and compliance with electrical codes and project specifications.

Coordinate with the owner’s project manager to address field issues, scope changes, or scheduling conflicts.

Pull and prepare project reports for management and client updates.

Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance on every job site.

Support and lead subcontractors to maintain professionalism, communication, and high-quality results.

Ensure each project site is properly organized, cleaned, and closed out.

Qualifications :

5+ years of experience managing or coordinating lighting or electrical installation projects.

Strong understanding of energy-efficient lighting systems and electrical codes.

Experience managing subcontractors and multiple job sites simultaneously.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable generating and analyzing reports.

OSHA safety training or certification preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
