The Academy Hotel, Colorado Springs is a family owned and operated full service hotel. We're looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to meet Falcon's Bar & Grill specifications.
Wages : $18.00 - $20.00 / hour based on experience.
Job Description | Responsibilities | Duties :
Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations. Inspect, prepare and clean the ingredients. Prep includes chopping vegetables, butchering meat and preparing sauces. Prep salad bar and ingredients for appetizers,pizza, burgers, sandwiches and dinner entrees. Plating prepared foods based on senior guidance. Cleaning kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at end of shift. Ensure kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations. Stock inventory and leftover food properly. Cook menu items with the cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Ensure food comes out simultaneously. Maintain a positive and professional approach with servers and customers. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers and grills. Minimize loss and waste.
Requirements & Qualifications :
Proven experience as a line cook. Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients and equipment. Able to work a flexible schedule based on hotel needs, including weekends and holidays.
