We are looking for an Accounts Payable Tech to join our team in Seaside, California. This Contract-to-Permanent role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities :

• Audit vouchers and financial documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established policies.
• Generate, review, and correct financial reports as needed to maintain accurate records.
• Process and distribute checks, including handling voids and reissues when necessary.
• Develop and evaluate disbursement policies and collaborate with system analysts to enhance financial systems.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding balances on account statements, maintaining clear communication with vendors and departments.
• Compile data for financial reporting and assist with month-end tasks, including reconciliation and analysis of accounts payable.
• Provide quarterly and year-end accrual information to support accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct workshops to educate campus personnel on accounts payable processes.
• Organize and maintain documents in a virtual storage environment to ensure accessibility and compliance.
• Streamline and improve payment processes to enhance efficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in coding invoices and processing detailed check runs.
• Strong skills in invoice processing and generating detailed financial reports.
• Familiarity with accounts payable systems and general ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies with vendors and account statements.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing virtual document workflows.
• Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, departments, and team members.
• Experience with conducting educational workshops is a plus.
