Job purpose
The primary responsibility for Machine Operator / Slicer is to attend machines while the machines slice parts. The operator is responsible for maximizing the quantity of parts while maintaining the quality of parts.
Duties and responsibilities
- Installs proper oils and coolants.
- Adjusts machines accordingly for quality and quantity.
- Removes swarfs and old coolants from machine and properly disposes of them.
- Changes machine oils, coolant and filters.
- Cleans machine and coolant tanks when necessary.
- Maintains tooling to perform at maximum efficiency.
- Maintains proper quality and quantities of manufactured materials.
- Operate multiple slicing machines at a time.
- Review Operation Sheet to assure all previous operations have been satisfactorily completed.
- Setup and operate the equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Maintain part and identification during processing.
- Verify completed operations match blue prints
- Other duties as assigned
