Maintenance Assistant

As the Maintenance Assistant, you will carry a variety of maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained for residents, team members, and visitors. This Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Director in the areas of repairs and services to the residents of the community. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for repairs and upkeep to the building, grounds, and resident's apartments. Responsibilities

• Assist in areas as assigned by the Environmental Services Director or perform the responsibilities independently when the Environmental Services Director is not present in the community
• Demonstrates a high level of safety and accuracy in all work practices
• Responds to all building related emergencies, including but not limited to : safety systems, and critical systems.
• Maintains and upkeep common areas free of scuff marks around door, jams, baseboards, walls. This also includes painting and small drywall repairs.
• Prepare empty apartments for new apartments by cleaning, painting, and performing light repairs to units.
• Maintains the ground by collecting trash, blowing leaves, cleaning up the dumpster areas and cleaning common areas and restrooms.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks on critical systems and safety systems.
• Other building maintenance related tasks as needed (carpet cleaning, hard floor cleaning, pressure washing, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance duties (filters, batteries, etc.) on critical systems.
• Respond to work orders for unit repairs, troubleshoot / repair and identify when outside contractors as needed.
• Respond to resident emergencies such as clogged toilets, water leaks, HVAC system failures, and report to the Environmental Services Director
• Maintains the grounds by collecting trash, sweeping the dumpster areas and cleaning first impression areas
• Executes all assigned work orders timely and effectively
