This position offers an opportunity to work as a General Education Teacher specializing in math and reading interventions within a K-8 afterschool program. The role focuses on providing targeted tutoring and support in both reading and math to students, helping to improve their academic outcomes in general education settings. This position is part-time, requiring 7.5 hours per week, and is located in the Chicago, IL area. The contract is for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver reading and math interventions and tutoring to K-8 students

Support general education teaching goals and curriculum

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Collaborate with school staff and educators to enhance student learning

Maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment during afterschool sessions

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

Experience in general education teaching, particularly in math and reading

Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs

Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students and staff

Comfort working within an afterschool program setting

Previous experience with K-8 students preferred
