Provide SME-level guidance on LMR and Microwave technologies, including link budgets, propagation modeling, interference analysis, and spectrum planning. Configure and test wireless systems; diagnose and resolve RF performance issues and root causes. Lead and contribute to proposals, scopes of work, cost / level?of?effort estimates, and implementation plans. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure technical quality, on?time delivery, and compliance with standards and best practices. Support client advisory and consulting engagements with clear technical documentation and professional presentations. Mentor engineering staff; promote quality assurance practices and continuous improvement. Minimum of 11 years of wireless communications experience; utility?sector experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of RF design principles, engineering standards, and best practices across LMR, Microwave, and LTE. Demonstrated hands?on experience configuring and testing wireless systems; familiarity with multiple radio vendor platforms is preferred. Strong critical thinking, complex problem?solving, and consulting mindset with excellent oral and technical written communication. Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and deliver high?quality results with minimal supervision. Experience developing technical proposals and customer?facing documentation; professional presentation skills. Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited program (in the country of study or practice). Onsite in Overland Park, KS, 5 days per week. Occasional travel to client sites for inspections, testing, and meetings.
