Starting Pay : $16.00 / hr

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday possibility of Sundays from 12 : 00pm to Finish

Position Summary :

Trims raw material to customer specifications in order to be cut for orders.

Essential Functions :

  • Works with supervisors and production managers to schedule production.
  • Cleans and trims carcasses for future processing.
  • Inspects meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes and removes them as necessary.
  • Separates meats and byproducts into specified containers and seals containers.
  • Uses knives, cleavers, and other equipment to trim.
  • Weighs meats and tags containers for weight and contents.
  • Effectively completes tasks to reduce processing costs.
  • Follows company's detailed product specifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Must have working knowledge of production equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to trim various cuts of Beef, Pork, Lamb and Veal in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Follows company's Quality Control procedures.
  • Ability to problem solve in terms of trimming and product substitutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, challenging environment
  • Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in English.
