Mid-Level Simulation Software Engineer

METECS is seeking a mid-level Simulation Software Engineer to support NASA's Orion spacecraft as part of the Artemis program. In this role, you'll help develop, test, and maintain high-fidelity simulations that model Orion's complex systems and interactions with the Space Launch System (SLS), Co-Manifested Payloads (CPLs), and the Gateway lunar space station. This position spans the full software development lifecyclefrom systems engineering and requirements definition to implementation, CI / CD support, and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain simulation software for Orion spacecraft systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to model and validate spacecraft behavior.
• Implement and optimize software using Python and C++.
• Support integration and verification testing to ensure simulation accuracy and reliability.
• Apply lessons learned from previous Orion missions to improve tools and processes for Artemis III and IV.
• Contribute to a high-performing, mission-driven team environment.
