We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth, and orderly functioning of the platform, encompassing daily operational tasks, technical customer support, and incident management.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations Support

Monitor and ensure the operational health of the business platform.
Maintain and update accurate product reference data.
Manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including position maintenance, collateral management, and delivery processing.
Oversee the daily settlement process including cash movements and payment instructions.
Perform reconciliations on all daily activities, including trade executions, cash collateral transactions, and contract settlements, promptly resolving breaks and discrepancies.

Connectivity Expertise & Technical Support

Provide first line technical support for customers regarding connectivity issues, order flow, trade integrity, and system access.

Troubleshoot complex trade routing, execution, and connectivity problems, escalating critical issues to Engineering and Infrastructure teams appropriately.

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on the FIX Protocol (4.4, 5.0 and later), assisting members with new connection setups, certification testing, and resolving production issues related to their FIX gateways.

Manage and maintain technical documentation related to API specifications (FIX, proprietary APIs) and connectivity guides.

Perform log analysis and packet capture review to diagnose latency, execution, and trade integrity issues within the environment.

System & Process Improvement

Ensure operational procedures and system configurations comply strictly with internal control standards.

Actively participate in the testing and deployment of new products, features, and system upgrades, ensuring operational readiness and performance integrity.

Contribute to the documentation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability.

Act as a key liaison amongst Operations, Product and Technology for system issue resolution and implementation of operational efficiencies.

Quali fi cations

Required

3+ years of experience in a technically focused Operations role within a futures / options exchange and / or clearinghouse, FCM, broker-dealer, or trading firm.

Strong understanding of derivative products (futures, swaps, options) and their life cycles.

In-depth, hands-on expertise with the FIX Protocol (4.x and 5.x) and a solid understanding of electronic trading workflows, order books, and market data streams.

Strong technical aptitude and proven understanding of electronic trading systems, matching engine mechanics, and market connectivity concepts.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems,, or a technical equivalent.

Preferred

Experience with API testing, certification, and low-latency network environments.

Proficiency in basic scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and reporting.

Competencies

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for effective interaction with market participants.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
