Traffic EIT / Designer

HDR is looking for a Traffic EIT to join our South Carolina Area Transportation Business Group. This role may be based out of the following South Carolina Area offices : Charleston-SC. In this role, we'll count on you to :

• Work as part of a traffic team under the direction of the Project Engineer / Manager on a variety of traffic forecasting, analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using a variety of modeling tools, ranging from highway capacity software to complex micro simulation models; analyze everything from isolated intersections and roundabouts to urban arterials and freeway segments
• Participate in traffic signal design and traffic signal timing projects; including but not limited to, drafting signal plans, conducting field visits, preparing signal timing calculations, developing quantity takeoffs and preparing cost estimates.
• Take a proactive approach to learning, developing your skillset, and understanding the industry
• Perform other duties as needed
