Summary Description
The Material Handler / Purchasing Agent is responsible for the accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials, as well as procuring supplies, equipment, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role ensures materials are readily available for production, inventory levels are maintained, and purchasing activities comply with company policies and vendor agreements.
Material Handling Duties
- Receive, inspect, and tag incoming materials.
- Load, unload, and move materials to designated areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse and storage locations.
- Prepare and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
