Curbside Passenger Assist

Transdev in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Curbside Passenger Assist to provides friendly and cheerful assistance to passengerswithdirections,informationandassistancewithluggage,mobilitydevices,etc.This person will also assist the Supervisor in dispatching buses and coordination of operational matters.

Transdev is proud to offer :

Non-CBA Position :

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.50 – Maximum $19.00

Benefits include :

  • Vacation : minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick time : (5 days) 1 hour accrued for every 30 hours of work
  • Holidays : 8 days
  • Other standard benefits : 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.
  • Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Be at the bus, attending to the boarding (and alighting) of guests.
  • Provideassistancetopassengerswithluggageinboardingandalighting the Buses.
  • Notificationtosupervisorofpassenger’s concerns, complaintsorproblems.
  • Greeteverypassengerandanswerquestions courteously.
  • Assistintheboarding / alightingofpassengerswithmobilitydevices.
  • Assist wheelchair passengers to the rental car counters, as needed.
  • Dispatchbuses from the RAC or terminal in a timely manner.
  • Provide Carts to alighting RAC guestswhennecessary.
  • ProvideSupervisorwithassistance,asrequiredinlostandfoundprocedures.
  • Abilitytosafelyassistinmaneuveringmobilitydeviceson / offthebusandtotheRental Car Customer Service Counters
  • Push / PullluggagecartsintheCustomerServiceFacility and retrieve them lots, lobby and busing area.
  • Assistinkeepingtheworkandpassengerareasinsafe,neatandcleanconditions.
  • Otherdutiesasassigned or requested by Supervisor and / or Management.

    • Qualifications :

  • Desire to be safe and work safely.
  • Maintainacalmandfriendlydemeanoratalltimes.
  • Attend to the guests' needs at the bus.
  • Effectivelycommunicate,intheEnglishlanguage,orallyandinwriting
  • Willingtoworkshifthoursanddaysasassigned inthis24 / 7 / 365operation.
  • Willworkwhilestandinginhot,cold, windyandhumidenvironments.

    • Physical Requirements :

    The essential functions of this position require the ability to :

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 100 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 80 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
